Since the 1950’ a growing number of accomplished masters of the Tibetan Buddhist tradition have traveled outside Tibet. They have given teachings, instructions, and empowerments to many fortunate students in the West. Deeming that favourable conditions had come, Dzogchen Ranyak Patrul Rinpoche initiated the Wisdom Treasury Publishing House in 2005, with the primary aim of publishing texts associated with the Longchen Nyingthig lineage and Dzogchen Monastery.
Patrul Rinpoche is an important holder of the Longchen Nyingthik. Over the years, he and other masters gave many teachings that have been recorded and sometimes transcribed. Other scriptures that are part of the monastic curriculum in Dzogchen Monastery are also a significant part of this commentarial activity.
Moreover Wisdom Treasury wants to value a variety of other texts that are directly or indirectly associated with the wisdom of the Buddha. Dza Patrul Rinpoche’s historical involvement in the non-sectarian Rime movement is a fruitful ground for an exchange between different philosophical and religious traditions.
All these books, liturgy booklets, teachings and so forth are published in the form of traditional books, and other media such as CD-recordings, DVDs, etc.
“I hope that a vivid, deep and true wisdom will take root in each being, with good motivation and heartfelt respect for the tradition to which this wisdom is associated.” Dzogchen Ranyak Patrul Rinpoche
